SDX-Compact

Machine. Scan. Total Overview.

The SDX-Compact is a LiDAR-based surveying system that converts standard earthmoving equipment into a mobile survey device. It mounts to the machine, combines LiDAR scanning with GNSS positioning and integrated sensors, and starts collecting the moment the operator starts working.

There is no manual calibration step. Installation takes a few minutes, and the unit moves between machines easily — so a single system can follow the work rather than sitting idle on a machine that’s parked.

As the machine operates, the SDX-Compact continuously scans the surrounding terrain and uploads topographic data wirelessly to SDX-Cloud roughly every 10 minutes. You get as-built documentation without a dedicated survey crew and without interrupting anyone’s day.

Built For

Earthmoving and site prep

Road Construction

Landfill Management

Automated stockpile monitoring for inventory volumes and material billing

Machine Compatilibilty

The SDX-Compact is designed for loaders, dozers, and other earthmoving equipment. For excavators, the boom-mounted SDX-4DVision is the right system — it looks directly into the trench rather than scanning from the roof.

Why Contractors Choose It

You already have machines covering the ground. The SDX-Compact means that coverage produces data. Cut and fill volumes update through the day, terrain gets compared against design models automatically, and variances surface while they’re still cheap to fix.

See It on Your Own Machine

The fastest way to judge the SDX-Compact is to watch it scan ground you already know. We’ll mount a unit on one of your dozers or loaders, run it through a normal shift, and show you the data that comes back.
